The main framework for this piece was made with 18 gauge wire, and the smaller details are 22 gauge wire.  The biggest problem that I came across was that the main support wire broke in one spot, and I had to try and make it work even though there wasn't as much support in that spot as there needed to be.  If I were to do it again I would probably try to make the support look more like the neck and shoulders of the figure, rather than the more abstract support I chose for this sculpture.
